TI AUTOMOTIVE TO BUILD NEW PLANT IN MEXICO
WARREN, Mich. – TI Automotive, the world’s leading supplier of fully integrated fluid storage and delivery systems, will build its seventh manufacturing plant in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico.
Located in Reynosa’s Villa Florida Industrial Park, the new 60,000-square-foot facility will employ 400 people and produce brake and fuel lines for automotive assembly plants in North America.
Groundbreaking will take place this month and the plant is expected to open later this summer. Art Carter, previously manager of TI Automotive’s Number 5 plant in Reynosa has been named to manage the new facility.
TI Automotive currently has 10 plants in Mexico, including two facilities that support its Walbro Engine Management business. Six other Reynosa facilities fabricate heating, ventilation and air conditioning lines for various auto manufacturers.
